Mrs. Abaza's Bio

 

Renee received both her Bachelors (Cum Laude) in Music Education and Masters in Education from Queens College, Aaron Copeland School of Music.

 

Renee Campbell is a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who strives for excellence.  She began writing music at the age of four, taking piano lessons at age six and learning to play violin at age nine.   Music has been an integral part of her life allowing her to express herself in unique ways.  It has afforded her the opportunity to meet talented and interesting people through performing and teaching.  She loves working with young people who are willing to put in the hard work to achieve outstanding results.  The youth have a magnetic energy which inspires her and makes teaching a joy.

 

Renee is extremely proficient at and can teach both piano and violin, from beginner to advanced level. Her earliest musical memory was at age two. Music has always been a part of Renee’s life, her passion is infectious. She hopes to instill in her students the same passion she has for music and wants to help hone their talents so music can serve as a creative outlet for them. Renee played music at both grade school and high school, main instruments were Piano and Violin, and she was concert mistress.

 

Renee has received numerous awards which include:

 

Queens College Choral Society, Soprano, Piano Accompanist

South Shore Philharmonic Orchestra-Violinist

Adelphi Orchestra-Violinist

Long Island Composer’s Alliance-1st place: Original Music Competition

                   National PTA “Reflections” Cultural Arts Program-Numerous Nassau County, NY State and National Awards for original                   music competition

Renee also performs (sings and plays piano) her own original pieces.

 

Renee attributes her inspiration and passion to music to her Private Music Teacher, Mrs. Perlot.
